Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 2026
This is the Shadowrocket website and official manual. This policy applies when you read guides, use page navigation, or follow links on this site, and explains how the site handles information. For data handled by the app and App Store purchases, refer to the relevant product and platform privacy information.
1. Scope and access logs
This site provides content through static pages and has no user registration, sign-in, or email submission forms. You do not need to submit your name, phone number, or payment details to read the manual. This site does not provide node services or offer, sell, or recommend nodes or subscriptions. Setup instructions assume you already have your own subscription or server details.
When your browser requests a page, the server hosting this site may log your IP address, visit time, request path, response status, and browser request details. These records help deliver pages, troubleshoot issues, and protect the site. Static pages do not mean that no technical access records are generated.
Do not enter sensitive information, such as subscription URLs or server passwords, in page addresses or query parameters. This information is not needed to read the manual and should not be passed to this site as a navigation parameter.
2. Analytics: scope and purpose
This site uses analytics to understand how pages are read and how well navigation works. Analytics may include technical information such as page paths, referring pages, visit times, and browser and device types. This helps us find broken links, improve the order of instructions, and identify gaps in coverage of common issues.
The download page also records a click event when you choose the App Store button, to help us understand how the store link is used. A click only indicates that you followed the link; it does not mean that you purchased, paid for, or installed the app. This site does not receive Apple Account details or transaction records from that click.
Analytics support site maintenance and content improvements. They are not used to read app configurations, connection logs, or subscriptions you already have. Technical records should be retained only as needed for maintenance, security investigations, and analytics, with access restricted.
3. Cookies and local storage
Cookies are small records stored by your browser that may be sent with requests. Local storage is read and written by page scripts in your browser. This site does not use either mechanism to store sign-in accounts, payment details, or Shadowrocket configurations, and does not ask you to submit personal information through browser storage.
Whether analytics writes cookies, which records it stores, and how long they remain depend on the analytics configuration actually deployed. This policy does not claim that analytics is always cookie-free. You can inspect the records currently stored by your browser in its site data settings or developer tools.
You can clear this site's data, restrict cookies, or block analytics scripts in your browser. These actions may affect visit counts or saved preferences. Clearing this site's data will not delete App Store purchase records or change configurations saved in the app.
4. App Store and purchase information
Shadowrocket is available only on Apple platforms. The only way to get it is through the App Store product page. Apple operates that page. Once you leave this site, account sign-in, payment, purchase restoration, and related data handling are governed by Apple's terms and privacy policy.
This site does not process payments or collect card details or account passwords. A one-time purchase of the app is not a service subscription; purchasing the app and having your own access details are separate matters. Check the App Store page for device compatibility, system requirements, pricing, and purchase eligibility.
5. Policy updates and further information
If site features, analytics methods, or the scope of data handling change, we will revise this page and update the month shown at the top. Changes that add a new purpose for collecting information or broaden its use should be accompanied by an explanation of how the information will be handled. The date on this page indicates the month the policy was revised, not an app update date.
You can check the current URL and this site's data permissions in your browser. For questions about importing, permissions, or connections, follow the steps in the tutorial to troubleshoot. For purchase and purchase restoration questions, see the genuine purchase guide. Keep a personal copy of your configuration while troubleshooting, and avoid sharing screenshots or links that contain credentials.
